Manage outside lawyers and act as a single point of contact
Have broad-based in-house legal experience, enabling them to cover a wide variety of matters
Are proactive, seek and identify risk areas and develop management and mitigation measures
Provide legal services for a fixed monthly fee (consistently lower than traditional hourly fees)

Are reactive, waiting for clients to initiate projects
Work remotely from their law firms’ offices
Often assign your legal work to much less experienced associate lawyers, submitting to partners only for review
